For this project Old Mountain removed three failing railroad tie timber retaining walls and replaced two of them with modern block walls and one with a poured concrete wall. One wall was in a sensitive area under a pedestrian footbridge, requiring skill and daily oversight to ensure wall construction was completed without issues. Old Mountain’s owner has certification training from both the National Concrete Masonry Association in retaining wall installation as well as Master’s of Residential Concrete and Foundations Technician training from the World of Concrete / American Concrete Institute.
